Organising Round Robin Tests
RUNDTEST FABRIC PROPERTIES
The RUNDTEST FABRIC PROPERTIES (Round robin test for fabric properties) was brought into being in 2005; where production and quality laboratories, testing and research institutes, universities and equipment manufacturers worldwide take part. The following tests are currently included in the round robin test:
- Weight and construction of fabric
- Tensile properties - strip method, ISO 13934-1
- Tensile properties - Grab method, ISO 13934-2
- Tear force, Elmendorf method, ISO 13937-1
- Tear force, trouser-shape method, ISO 13937-2
- Tear force, wing-shape method, ISO 13937-3
- Bursting strength, ISO 13938-2
- Seam slippage strength, ISO 13936-1 und ISO 13936-2
- Abrasion resistance Martindale, ISO 12947-2
- Pilling propensity - Martindale, ISO 12945-2
- Pilling propensity - Pilling box, ISO 12945-1
- Dimensional change at washing, ISO 5077/6330
Each participant is free to choose which test to conduct and to send in for the evaluation within a limited time. The test results are recorded centrally and evaluated neutrally (each laboratory is given a laboratory code number) in a comprehensive report. An example of an evaluation can be downloaded at downloads. Each participant receives written confirmation of participation at the end of each calendar year (see illustration)
Participants in the RUNDTEST FABRIC PROPERTIES are invoiced with 550.00 CHF as a contribution to expenses.
